BNT “FAITH AND COMMUNITY” SHOW CELEBRATES 10 YEARS

One of the most popular BNT programmes, “Faith and Community”, on 5th of December celebrated 10 years since it was first launched on air. Over those years, the programme team has produced nearly 400 broadcasts and has attracted its loyal audience.

“Faith and Community” is the only programme in Bulgarian TV air which for 10 years has dealt with religion issues and various religions. It is dedicated to religious journalism and culture.

Goran Blagoev, the presenter, says that the mission of the programme is the faith to reach the community.

One of the broadcasts featured the only TV interview with the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte.

Two fundraising initiatives are part of the 10th anniversary: one for provision of new Orthodox literature for the Sofia library and for support for community kitchens with churches in Sofia eparchy, serving food to poor people. Two other fundraising campaigns of “Faith and Community” programme have collected over 30,000 BGN for the rescue repair of Tran monastery and for the painting the Bulgarian chapel in Antarctica.
