BNT STARTED EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT PROJECT

The Bulgarian National Television started the project entitled “European Parliament”, which will be co-financed by the European Parliament.

Within the initiative, the viewers’ favaourate programme “BNT Taxi” will travel across eight European countries. The host Spas Kyosev will meet Bulgarians living abroad and will film the life and problems of the local people. The filmed materials will be broadcast in November and December during BNT prime time.

On 3rd of August, “BNT2 Travelling Studio” set off from Danube Bridge. In a specially equipped minibus, residents of North Bulgarian cities of Rousse and Varna will have the opportunity to watch films about the work in the European Parliament. The team of the travelling studio will collect questions which people want to ask the Bulgarian MEPs.

The current affairs programme “Referndum, presented by Dobrina Cheshmedzhieva, will have a special edition, from Brussels, broadcast live, on 15th of September at 21:00 from the virtual studio of the European Parliament. The topic of the programme will be the migration issues in the countries most affected by the migration flow.

Yuliana Toncheva, the head of BNT international department said that the idea of the activities under the project, including on BNT website which targeted younger audience, was to show people how they could be more active in the formation of European policies. The content will also show who makes the decisions within the European family and in what way people can have their say.
