Atanas Skatov from the South East Bulgarian city of Sliven is the first vegan who climbed mount Everest without the aid of oxygen mask.
At midnight Bulgarian time on 24th May, the climber Atanas Skatov set foot on the highest point of the world, Mount Everest, announced the BNT correspondent from Sliven.
Skatov set off from Camp 3, at a height of 8300 m, and climbed the summit at 8.15 local Chinese time. He has been the first person who summited Everest for the 2014 season.
In 2013, for less than 12 months, he successfully ascended four of the highest mountain peaks in Africa, Europe and South America.
