Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 267 new cases confirmed, total is 8144

Two hundred and sixty seven (267) new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours from record high number of 6500 PCR tests, data on the national information system shows on July 17.

The latest cases were reported in the following regions: Blagoevgrad – 15; Bourgas – 14: Varna – 36: Veliko Turnovo – 6; Vidin – 1; Vratsa – 4; Gabrovo – 8; Dobrich – 12; Kardzhali – 2; Kyustendil – 11; Lovech – 1; Pazardzhik – 5; Pernik – 2; Pleven – 4; Plovdiv – 19; Rousse – 4; Sliven – 3; Smolyan – 4; Sofia district – 10; Sofia city – 95; Stara Zagora – 8; Targovishte – 1; Yambol – 2.

The total-lab-confirmed cases in the country to date are at 8144.

The active cases are 3924.

86 people recovered over the past 24 hours. The total recoveries since the start of the epidemic are 3927.

Out of the total, 582 people are in hospitals, 28 of them in intensive care.

The medical professionals who tested positive for coronavirus are 553. The latest cases reported over the past 24 hours are 11..

The deaths of patients with positive results for Covid-19 are 293.

Four Covid-19 associated deaths were reported over the past 24 hours.
