EC SUSPENDED PAYMENTS UNDER TWO MEASURES OF OP RURAL DEVELOPMENT IN BULGARIA

The European Commission suspended payments under two measures of the Programme for the development of rural regions in Bulgaria, the EC spokesperson Daniel Rosario told BNT news programme “Around the World and at Home” on 14th of June.

He said that the suspended sums were significantly less than 1 billion and 100 million euro,  but did not specify the exact amount.

Rosario commented that  EC was discussing the issue with the Bulgarian authorities.  He explained that EC conducts regular audits in all EU member states to ensure proper management of the EU funds.
