On 12th June, the world famous Bulgarian conductor, Yordan Kamdzhalov, will present the musical work ‘Kariya’ by the Bulgarian composer Vladimir Dzhambazov with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra.
In an interview for the BNT morning programme ‘The Day Begins with Culture’, Yordan Kamdzhalov says he met with the composer Vladimir Dzhambazov and was impressed by his creativeness.
Yordan Kamdzhalov was born in Bulgaria and graduated from the Hochschule für Musik, Berlin. He was unanimously chosen as General Music Director by the City of Heidelberg in 2011. At the age of 30, he became Chief Conductor of the Opera Theater, the Heidelberg Philharmonic Orchestra and Heidelberg’s Schloss Festival. After a successful series of concerts with Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, he was invited to become Principal Guest Conductor. In December 2013 he made his Tokyo-debut with the New Japan Philharmonic and was re-invited.
