A new outbreak of Covid-19 in the country was registered in a sewing workshop in the town of Krichim, Southern Bulgaria..

A total of 19 workers tested positive for the virus.

More than a week ago, one of the seamstresses was diagnosed with coronavirus, the woman went on sick leave and the company's management undertook a mass testing of all workers.

The tests were conducted on June 29, and a few days later the results showed that 19 are positive for COVID-19 out of 80 samples.

"All 19 employees are in good health, i.e. there is no one who is in poor physical condition or with severe symptoms, which is the most important thing for us," Vaska Baklarova, manager of the company, told BNT on July 2.

The workshop is currently closed for complete disinfection.

"The workers are from several municipalities, most from Krichim, from Perushtitsa, from Ustina and from the Municipality of Stamboliyski. An epidemic study is being carried out at the moment and the health authorities are issuing recommendations, the head of the crisis management headquarters,” Dani Kanazireva said.
