The Bulgarian special prosecutor’s office lodged the indictment against three Syrians accused of terrorism, the Prosecutor’s Office said on 27th of July. Almohammad Abdulhamid, Al Abdahah Fadi and Al Fahdi Yassim are accused that on 7th of February they entered Bulgaria via Greece, arriving from Germany and their purpose was to get to Syria to join the ranks of Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic State.
The three Syrians were granted refugee status in Germany and having failed to get to Turkey via Greece, they came to Bulgaria. Photos of fighters from the two terrorist organisations were found on their mobile phones.
The court sitting against the three Syrians in scheduled for Tuesday, 2nd of August. If they are found guilty, the three may be face up to 10 years of imprisonment.
