16-year-old boy with a scooter crashed into an SUV and died

A boy died in a traffic accident. Yesterday, May 11, at about 16:50, the Sevlievo police received a signal about a traffic accident in the village of Selishte. Traffic police and emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.

It was established that a 16-year-old boy from Sofia, riding an electric scooter, entered the oncoming lane and collided with a four-wheel drive driven by a 49-year-old man from Gabrovo.

As a result of the crash, the 16-year-old boy was injured and was taken to hospital in Pleven with craniocerebral trauma and brain haemorrhage.

A few hours later he died. The driver's alcohol and drug tests were negative. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
