4.3 earthquake registered in the region of Plovdiv and Assenovgrad
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on Richter scale was registered this evening, June 17, in the area between Assenovgrad and Plovdiv (Southern Bulgaria).
The tremor was felt mainly on the high floors.
According to the National Institute of Geophysics, no damage was reported.
The earthquake was at a depth of 5 kilometres.
The epicentre was 5 kilometres north of Assenovgrad and about 145 kilometres southeast of Sofia.
The earthquake was registered at 20:24 on June 17.
