5th edition of Master of Art Film Festival begins

Master of Art Film Festival for documentaries on art will take place in the Bulgarian cities of Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna.

The film “The Caress” , directed by Emil Hristov and Kalin Serapinov will open the programme of the festival on the screen of the new A6 platform.

The programme in the cinemas includes more than 80 documentaries – stories about the people who create art on screen.

The documentaries that manifest the talents and the creative process are in the following categories: Architecture, Design and Fashion, Art and Power, Contemporary art, Culinary art, Fine Art, Photography, Literature, Music and Dance, Theatre and Cinema.

The festival focuses on different artistic approaches on Art.

Its program is dedicated to Documentary cinema that represents the artistic vision both on history of Art, Contemporary Art forms and to celebrate the multicultural diversity in our time.

Oda Jaune, the character from “The Caress” arrived in Bulgaria for this year’s edition of the festival. The film follows all the stages of the creation of the sculpture ” THE CARESS” (2018) by Oda Jaune.

Oda Jaune, artist: For me, art is a space where complete freedom is possible. Everywhere in life we are very limited and perhaps this is the only space where freedom has every right. And it must be caressed. The theme of "Caress" - a pure love between each person could be possible, a union.

The festival begins on August 27th and will run until September 24th.
