Actress Maria Bakalova becomes godmother of first Bulgarian military research ship (gallery)

The Oscar-nominated Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova became the godmother of the first Bulgarian military research ship. It is named after the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius. The ceremony took place on the day of liberation of Bulgaria’s coastal city of Varna, July 27.

In addition to the usual activities for this type of ship, this one will have another very important task: will provide transportation for the national Antarctic expeditions and carry out research activities in the Antarctic Circle, the World Ocean and the Black Sea.
