"Alliance for Rights and Freedoms": Our support will be firm for any initiative that seeks a recount of the ballots and annulment of the elections
They call on the President to refer the election violations to the Constitutional Court.
The coalition "Alliance for Rights and Freedoms" (ARF) on November 4 gave a briefing at which they stated their strong support for the declaration of the We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB), called on President Rumen Radev to refer the elections to the Constitutional Court (CC) and called for a complete annulment of the elections.
After a meeting of the central bureau, ARF decided to strongly support the declaration of the WCC-DB to create a sanitary cordon around the figure of Delyan Peevski.
"This declaration is not just an act of political stance, but a step forward in the affirmation of the principles of the authentic MRF with leader Ahmed Dogan speaking for several months now," said Valentin Tonchev an MP candidate of the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms.
In his words, the priorities of transparency and the rule of law cannot be distorted by personal or oligarchic interests, ARF said.
"Political ideas should be turned into deeds, not shadows of influence."
ARF said the declaration should be expanded to cover the most sensitive issues for society. They insisted on the establishment of an ad hoc committee to examine the role of Delyan Peevski in the events surrounding the bankruptcy of Commercial Corporate Bank, Bulgartabac, the Bulgarian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Eight Dwarfs scandal , as well as his influence in the Prosecutor’s Office and the judiciary,
"Alliance for Rights and Freedoms” pointed out that the next government should urgently start the procedure for the election of an Ombudsman and deputies in the National Audit Office to “ensure that any future elections will not be manipulated by a double tandem of political puppets".
ARF has also stated its strong support for any initiative that seeks a recount of ballots and a complete annulment of the elections.
"The democratic process on which our future is built has been brutally trampled."
They appealed for the restoration of justice and the will of the public. They called on President Rumen Radev to refer the election violations to the Constitutional Court.
"When the house of Bulgaria faces fire, every honest hand must be lent to save it," said Valentin Tonchev.
Movement for Rights and Freedoms chairman Dzhevdet Chakarov said that "the situation we are in is unprecedented". The reason - the many reports of election violations.
