Anti-government protests elsewhere in Bulgaria

The anti-government protests in different parts of Bulgaria continued today, July 22.

Carrying posters "Unity and pressure" and "Together we are a force", for another day in a row Plovdiv residents gathered to protest. They demanded fair and legal politics, which is in the interest to the people. Bulgaria's renewal goes through the resignations of the government and the chief prosecutor, the protesters said.

In Varna, members of the public gathered again in front of the building of the municipality, but this time they were divided into two groups. One demanded the resignation of the government and chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev. The other group protested against changes to the Gambling Act.

13th day of protests in the Northern Bulgarian city of Rousse. Residents of Bulgaria’s old capital of Veliko Turnovo for a nother night in a row staged a protest to express dissatisfaction with the government. They gathered in front of the “Mother Bulgaria” monument in the centre of the city.Later, the protest turned into a peaceful procession.

Protesters in the town of Karlovo also demanded the resignation of the government and the chief prosecutor. Thei demands also included early elections, interim government or convening Grand National Assembly.
