Apostol Minchev is the new head of the Road Infrastructure Agency
Apostol Minchev has been appointed Chairman of the Management Board of the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA).
He is a civil engineer in transport construction with a master's degree. He has many years of experience in road design and construction. He was a leader of a team in preparing projects for road sites and facilities. He was director of the Shumen Regional Road Administration.
Vesselin Peykov has been appointed a member of the Management Board of the agency.
He is a civil engineer in the field of construction of tracks and motorways with experience in other countries as well. Eng. Peykov has experience in the management of large-scale transport projects, management and design of airports, design and construction of road surfaces.
Ivaylo Denchev, who is also a road construction engineer, has also been appointed a member of the Management Board of RIA.
Until the appointment, he has been director of Pleven Regional Road Administration, having previously held other positions in it. He has also worked in the private sector.
The current management of the Road Infrastructure Agency has been dismissed due to advance payments for construction and installation works for sites that do not have a project readiness and construction permit as at May 26, 2021, RIA press office said on May 27.
