BNT host of weekend show tested positive for coronavirus

The host of BNT weekend programme "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov" on October 13 tested positive for COVID-19.

The journalist took the test on his own initiative.

On the official Facebook profile of the show, Georgi Lyubenov wrote that he had no symptoms and was feeling well.

He immediately isolated himself and will stay at home for at least 14 days, as required by the anti-epidemic measures.

He called on his guests and everyone he had been in contact with in the past 5-7 days to be tested and to prevent the spread of the infection.

Due to the quarantine, this weekend (October 17-18) the show will be hosted by Mariana Vekilska.

BNT has taken additional measures to disinfect the premises and studios. All members of Georgi Lyubenov's team underwent PCR tests, and the results are expected.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, the control of access to the TV programmes has been strengthened and the observance of the requirements for wearing masks in the common areas by the employees and the guests in the building is strictly monitored.

The team and colleagues wish Georgi Lyubenov a speedy recovery and expect him to be on BNT 1 again soon.
