BNT MARKS THE FINALE OF “UNDERCOVER” SERIES WITH A GALA NIGHT

The finale of the BNT most successful series “Undercover” was celebrated with a grand gala night in Hall 1 of the National Palace of culture in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia on 4th of June, where the audience watched the final episode of season 5 on the big screen. More than 3,500 viewers applauded the actors, script writers, directors and producers of the series as they walked on the red carpet.

The emotional goodbye was broadcast live on BNT and was watched by more than 560,000 viewers on TV. BNT was the most watched broadcaster with a rating twice higher than the second most watched channel in Bulgaria.

Besides that, thousands streamed live online BNT website - bnt.bg and commented on social networks.

The five seasons of the series were reminded through a unique 3D mapping in the NDK building.

“Undercover” is a Bulgarian modern crime TV series produced by Bulgarian National Television that premiered on BNT 1 on 17th of April, 2011. It is the biggest TV film production in the history of BNT and became an instant hit with its audience.

BNT Director General Vyara Ankova said that the end of this project will give opportunities for new BNT projects with the same quality and same standard as " Undercover" .

The series is distributed in 186 territories in the world, which makes it the best-selling series, BNT programme director Sevda Shishmanova said. BNT is in a process of negotiations for the sale of the format rights of the series in the USA, she added.
