Bomb threats have been received in schools in different parts of the country on October 16.
Before noon, a bomb signal forced the evacuation of the Professional School of Tourism in Rousse, Northern Bulgaria. The school will make the necessary arrangements to make up for the classes missed today.
So far, no explosive device has been found.
According to preliminary information, the warning was received for various educational institutions in several cities in the country.
A bomb alert interrupted classes at the Minyo Balkansky School of Computer Science in Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria. No suspicious objects were found in the building after an inspection, the press centre of the Ministry of Interior said. The classes were not suspended and an investigation has been launched into the case.
A threat of a planted explosive device was received at the official e-mail of the Vocational School of Mechanical Engineering in Sliven (Southern Central Bulgaria) this morning. The management of the school has reported the threat to 112. The students were taken away while the inspection was in progress by the police officers who arrived at the school. The inspection found that no explosive device had been planted and the duration of the remaining classes were reduced by 20 minutes. Tomorrow will be a normal school day at the high school.
According to BTA, there are also reports of explosive devices in schools in Sofia, Bourgas (North-Eastern Bulgaria) and Shoumen (Northern Bulgaria).
