Bulgaria's Defence Minister and Ambassador of Japan discussed defence cooperation

At a meeting on February 12, Bulgaria’s Minister of Defence, Todor Tagarev and Ambassador of Japan, Hisashi Michigami, discussed defence cooperation and the two countries' contribution to global and regional security, the press office of the Ministry of Defence said.

Firm and long-term support for Ukraine and contribution to its post-war reconstruction were among the topics of the discussion.

According to both sides, there are a number of opportunities to deepen traditionally good cooperation. They discussed the potential for more intensive exchanges in the field of military education through the Naval Academy, as well as in crisis management and disaster response.
