Bulgaria holds a second round of local elections on November 5. The voting for mayors is taking place in 19 cities both with ballot papers and with machines.

No form of campaigning is allowed until tthe end of the polling day.

The election day started at 7:00 and will end at 20:00.

All polling stations in the country opened on time. So far there have been no reports of serious irregularities.

6,308,052 voters are eligible to vote and the voters lists for today's vote include citizens who have acquired voting rights between the two rounds.

The second round will elect 91 mayors of municipalities, 431 mayors of town halls and 31 mayors of regions. The vote in four town halls will be between three candidates since the second and third have the same number of votes from the first round in the villages of Suhozem, village of Dragash Voivoda, Dobrina and Vasilovo.

The second round of the local elections will be held in 7,250 polling stations, with 5,900 polling stations using machines. Machines are placed in polling stations with more than 300 voters.
