Bulgaria marks 30 years since the adoption of the Constitution

On July 1, Bulgaria marks 30 years since the adoption of the Constitution.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Justice held a solemn assembly in the Hall of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".

Former and current politicians, magistrates and professors, as well as representatives of the 7th National Assembly, which worked on the drafting and adoption of the Constitution, gathered in one place.

President Rumen Radev delivered a speech. The head of state stated that the existing Constitution is a full-fledged instrument of the governance and has become a pillar of the Bulgarian statehood.

Radev also stressed that the Constitution must be developed and added that if someone has the ambition for revision, the basis must be the understanding that people are the main constitutional value.

In his speech, Rumen Radev stressed the need for easier access to constitutional justice.
