Bulgaria marks the Day of Europe with a flag-raising ceremony (photos)

A ceremony of raising the flag of the European Union was held in front of Bulgaria’s Presidency to mark the Day of Europe on May 9.

Before the ceremony, the Head of State received the guard of honour of the National Guards Unit.

Vice President Iliana Iotova; caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev; Deputy Speaker of the 49th National Assembly Rositsa Kirova were among the official guests at the ceremony.
