The Prosecutor’s office no longer argues that Oktai Eniehmedov attempted to murder the former leader and currently a honorary chairman of the party “Movement for Rights and Freedoms”, Ahmed Dogan, by pointing a gas pistol at his head at the end of January 2013.
This emerged on 20th of February at the first sitting on the case at the Supreme Court of Cassation (SCC).
Previously, the first instance court, Sofia City Court and the second instance court, Sofia Appeal Court, sentenced Eniehmedov for hooliganism to three and a half years imprisonment.
The second instance, just as the first instance court, acquitted Eniehmedov of attempted murder.
On 20th of February, the representative of the state prosecution said the same – that the evidence collected from the preliminary investigation and the facts on the case did not prove that Eniehmedov had intended to murder.
