Bulgaria’s Prosecutor’s Office has to initiate enquiries in response to the opinion expressed by the owner of the explosives factory in the village of Gorni Lom that the explosion in the factory was a deliberate act, said the caretaker Minister of Defence, Velizar Shalamanov on 8th of October for BNT.
Valeri Mitkov, the owner of “Midzhur” ammunition utilization factory in the North-West of Bulgaria said in an interview for Nova TV that there was an explosive substance placed among the mines and this substance was initiated.
The explosion occurred in the factory on 1st of October, several days before Bulgaria’s early parliamentary elections, and killed 15 people.
BNT team spoke with residents of the village, who worked in the blast-hit factory. They said that the control and the working discipline were lower than they should have been.
