Bulgaria’s PM Kiril Petkov: We strongly condemn the actions of the Russian Federation

We strongly condemn the actions of the Russian Federation, this is unacceptable and Bulgaria will be a partner that will speak with one voice with the European Union and NATO, Prime Minister Kiril Petkov said after the meeting at the Presidency on February 24.

In his words, the Bulgarian institutions are working in a coordinated manner.

President Rumen Radev: Currently there is no direct military threat to Bulgaria, Russia's operation is unacceptable

"Priority number 1 is the withdrawal of Bulgarians from Ukraine. With the Ministry of Transport, we are organizing land transport, as well as the reception of 4,000 people from Ukraine. With the Ministry of Tourism, we are organizing Bulgarian bases to be used, as well as Bulgarian hotels. We are working with the Ministry of the Interior and State Agency for National Security to organise the rapid processing of the data of these people so that we can take them in. We will do our best to ensure that the risks of this situation do not affect Bulgarian households," added Kiril Petkov.
