Bulgaria’s President at the 3SI summit: Central and Eastern Europe will become more attractive for investments

I am optimistic that Central and Eastern Europe will become more attractive for large-scale strategic investments under the Three Seas Initiative, Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said on July 8 at the summit of the Three Seas initiative.

According to him, the "Three Seas" initiative has proven to be a platform for dialogues as a strategic line for promoting economic development through energy, transport and digital connectivity.

"We know very well what great potential we have that can be used for our cooperation, to get public support, to develop friendly relations, to apply new innovative models for smart development. In the last year, we have all been moving in this direction and I would like to thank all of you for accepting my invitation to participate in this 6th Summit to discuss the perspective of these perspectives," Radev said.

The President said the forum was attended for the first time by the managing director of the International Monetary Fund, an impressive delegation from the US Congress that supports the transatlantic connection, as well as government and business representatives from Western Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific. "This shows the growing interest in our initiative," Radev said.

"I would also like to thank you for your support in helping us to invite the President of Greece. We want to have cooperation with our neighbours, otherwise the South-North axis will not be complete," he said.

"The investment fund continues to develop as a new approach to the use of private capital and business cooperation with public-private partnerships, and I think this is a model that can be developed and multiplied with results. Only in recent months have we seen results, we have three investments in energy, transport and digitalization. We hope that this dynamic will accelerate in the future," Radev said.
