Bulgaria’s President in self-isolation after his wife tests positive for Covid-19
Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev is in self-isolation because his wife Desislava Radeva has tested positive for coronavirus, the Presidency announced in a statement on February 2.
Dessislava Radeva is in good general condition.
The President is in good health and his coronavirus test today was negative, the statement says.
The President has cancelled the meetings scheduled for the next few days, it added.
Radev has self-isolated for the second time since the beginning of the year. On Jan. 11, he did so because the Speaker of Parliament, Nikola Minchev, tested positive for Covid-19 hours after a meeting of the Consultative Council on National Security, which was attended by the President.
