Bulgaria’s President presents GERB-UDF with a mandate tomorrow
On Thursday (14 July) at 11 A.M. the Bulgarian President Rumen Radev will present a mandate to seek to form a government to the second largest parliamentary group, GERB-UDF, the head of state’s press service confirmed.
The parliamentary group has already declared numerous times that they will not offer a cabinet and will immediately return the mandate unfulfilled.
“We do not have anyone to negotiate with for the third mandate, we have made the decision not to govern with BSP,” commented the leader of the parliamentary group, Boyko Borissov, a few days ago. Later, other members of the party confirmed his words.
“We Continue the Change” failed to gather enough parliamentary support to form a cabinet and returned the first mandate unfulfilled.
In case GERB returns the second one, Rumen Radev will invite the political parties for consultations once again before presenting the third and last mandate to form a government.
