Caretaker PM Glavchev: Bulgaria has been a reliable NATO ally and will continue to be so
Bulgaria’s caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and the Strategic and International Affairs Adviser to NATO's Supreme Allied Commander, Stephen Covington, have agreed that NATO is at an important stage where the focus is shifting from crisis management to collective security, the government press office said on June 26.
During their meeting at the Council of Ministers, the caretaker Prime Minister said that Bulgaria has been a reliable ally for 20 years and assured that it will continue to be so.
Glavchev and Covington also discussed the upcoming NATO Summit in Washington. The caretaker Prime Minister noted that the forum is of great importance in the context of the reinforcement of the Alliance's eastern flank and the Black Sea region in connection with the war in Ukraine. The caretaker Prime Minister reaffirmed Bulgaria's support for Kiev, which will continue as long as and whenever necessary.
