Central Election Commission: Voter turnout in the country is 26.40% at 16.00

The Central Election Commission announced that the election day was proceeding normally as at 17.00 on November 5. 18 complaints and 27 alerts had been filed in connection with various violations. Most of them were addressed to the municipal election commission.

"One signal was sent directly to the CEC for vote buying and it was forwarded to the prosecutor's office," said Rositsa Mateva, deputy chairwoman of CEC.

CEC has coordinated the suspension of the use of voting machines in 47 polling stations in the country, 10 of them are in Sofia municipality.

As at 4 p.m., voter turnout for the whole country was 26.40% . The lowest was in Rousse - only 15.77%, the highest was in Roman - 77.94%. In Varna it was 20.28%, Plovdiv - 17.25%, in Sofia - 23.72%.

There are reports that some ballot papers are not stamped. Rositsa Mateva urged sectorial election commissions to read CEC's methodological instructions and to put stamps.
