On June 2, Deputy Minister of Interior, Encho Mirchev and Chief Commissioner Stoyan Temelakiev announced an order of the caretaker Minister of Interior, by which Chief Commissioner Deyan Mollov is appointed Director of the General Directorate” Border Police”. By another order of the caretaker Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov, Chief Commissioner Svetlan Kichikov is re-appointed elsewhere in the Ministry of Interior.

Head of Bulgaria’s Border Police replaced

Chief Commissioner Deyan Mollov has been working in the system of the Ministry of Interior since 2002. He spent all his professional carer in the structure of the Border Police. In 2014 he became head of the Border Police Unit in Bolyarovo. In 2015 he was Deputy Director of the regional border police directorate in Elhovo, in 2016 he was Director of regional border police directorate in Smolyan. Since March 2017, he has been the Director of regional border police directorate in Elhovo.

He has been awarded many times for his professional activity. In 2013 he received the Honorary Badge of the Ministry of Interior III degree, and in 2015 - Honorary Badge of the Ministry of Interior II degree.

In 2019 he was awarded the Honorary Badge of the Ministry of Interior I degree, which is the highest professional award in the ministry.
