Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,104 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,104 from 8,634 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on March 4.

Test positivity rate is at 12,8%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,097,298.

The active cases are 212,790.

Of the total, 3,445 patients are in hospitals, 436 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 766 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 848,792

· 243 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,305,855.

· 20 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 35,716.

Of the daily cases, 71.29% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 95.00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 112 new hospitalisations, of which 84.82% had not been vaccinated.
