Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,424 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,424 from 12,829 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on March 25.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,131,065.

Test positivity rate is 11%.

The active cases are 190,033.

Of the total, 2,019 patients are in hospitals, 241 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 2,624 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 904,636

· 1,789 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,342,510.

· 21 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 36,396.

Of the daily cases, 68,33% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 85,71% had not been vaccinated.

There were 208 new hospitalisations, of which 78,37% had not been vaccinated.
