Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,426 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,426 from 10,473 tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on March 7.

898 were confirmed from PCR and 528 from antigen tests.

The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:

Blagoevgrad - 45; Bourgas - 127; Varna – 112; Veliko Turnovo – 18; Vidin – 3; Vratsa - 48; Gabrovo – 23; Dobrich - 23; Kardzhali - 15; Kyustendil - 24; Lovech - 27; Montana - 11; Pazardzhik - 51; Pernik - 56; Pleven – 86; Plovdiv - 98; Razgrad - 8; Rousse - 17; Silistra - 10; Sliven - 39; Smolyan – 18; Sofia district - 63; Sofia city – 406; Stara Zagora - 16; Targovishte – -; Haskovo - 47; Shoumen - 25 Yambol - 10.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 259,811.

The active cases are 36,716

Of the total, 5,629 patients are in hospitals, 452 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 584 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 212,502;
• 2,654 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 287,118;
• 22 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 10,593.
