Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,438 new cases, 154 deaths
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,438 from 8,084 PCR and rapid antigen tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 30.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 54; Bourgas - 81; Varna – 171; Veliko Turnovo - 53; Vidin – 16; Vratsa - 62; Gabrovo – 10; Dobrich - 33; Kardzhali - 17; Kyustendil - 10; Lovech - 21; Montana - 12; Pazardzhik - 41; Pernik - 29; Pleven - 54; Plovdiv - 128; Razgrad - 11; Rousse - 80; Silistra - 33; Sliven - 26; Smolyan – 8; Sofia district - 45; Sofia city – 246; Stara Zagora - 66; Targovishte - 20; Haskovo - 30; Shoumen - 44; Yambol - 37.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 199,491.
The active cases are 76,684.
Of the total, 5,023 patients are in hospitals, 474 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 2,919 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 115,402;
- 57 medical professionals tested positive (including 23 doctors, 15 nurses, 11 healthcare assistants, 1 paramedic and 7 other medical staff), thus bringing the total to date to 8,803;
- 154 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 7,405.
