Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,701 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,701 from 7,362 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 4.

Test positivity rate is slightly above 23%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,213,429.

The active cases are 26,582.

Of the total, 1,077 patients are in hospitals, 55 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 1,086 recoveries;

• 2,896 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 6 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 66.55% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 66.67% had not been vaccinated.

There were 180 new hospitalisations, of which 81.67% had not been vaccinated.
