Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 171 new cases from 2,660 tests

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 171 from 2,660 tests (including PCR and rapid antigen tests), data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on January 4.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 203,051.

The active cases are 72,962.

Of the total, 4,689 patients are in hospitals, 453 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 944 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 122,411;
• 0 were vaccinated, thus the total to date remains 4,739;
• 34 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 7,678.
