Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,800 new cases
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,800 from 13,026 tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on February 24.
1,146 were confirmed from PCR and 654 from antigen tests.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 72; Bourgas - 154; Varna – 82; Veliko Turnovo – 25; Vidin – 6; Vratsa - 59; Gabrovo – 11; Dobrich - 13; Kardzhali - 5; Kyustendil - 72; Lovech - 27; Montana - 12; Pazardzhik - 52; Pernik - 24; Pleven – 115; Plovdiv - 181; Razgrad - 7; Rousse - 24; Silistra - 22; Sliven - 35; Smolyan – 17; Sofia district - 75; Sofia city – 496; Stara Zagora - 52; Targovishte – 5; Haskovo - 66; Shoumen - 65; Yambol - 26.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 240,391.
The active cases are 28,913.
Of the total, 4,037 patients are in hospitals, 349 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 471 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 201,500;
· 17,163 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 148,226;
· 45 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 9,978.
