Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,803 new cases from 7,259 PCR tests
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,803 from 7,259 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on November 1.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 38; Bourgas - 84; Varna - 114; Veliko Turnovo - 22; Vidin – 5; Vratsa - 34; Gabrovo - 48; Dobrich - 17; Kardzhali - --; Kyustendil - 54; Lovech - 9; Montana - 63; Pazardzhik - 35; Pernik - 29; Pleven - 30; Plovdiv - 136; Razgrad - 37; Rousse - 51; Silistra - 28; Sliven - 37; Smolyan - 17; Sofia district - 53; Sofia city - 740; Stara Zagora - 53; Targovishte - 24; Haskovo - 13; Shoumen - 6; Yambol - 26.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 52,844.
The active cases are 31,520.
Of the total, 2,612 patients are in hospitals, 166 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 168. The total recoveries are 20,045.
A total of 2,339 medical professionals have tested positive for the virus, including 71 new cases confirmed overnight: 27 doctors; 19 nurses; 9 healthcare assistants; 3 paramedics and 13 other staff.
25 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 1,279.
