Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,850 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,850 from 17,987 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on April 28.

1,036 were confirmed from PCR and 814 from antigen tests.

The latest cases registered in the districts are as follows:

Blagoevgrad – 80; Bourgas - 153; Varna - 170; Veliko Turnovo – 54; Vidin – 24; Vratsa – 34; Gabrovo – 29; Dobrich – 48; Kardzhali - 25; Kyustendil - 29; Lovech - 25; Montana - 29; Pazardzhik - 49; Pernik - 36; Pleven – 33; Plovdiv - 180; Razgrad - 20; Rousse - 70; Silistra - 16; Sliven - 33; Smolyan – 22; Sofia district - 83; Sofia city – 375; Stara Zagora - 84; Targovishte - 38; Haskovo - 40; Shoumen – 40; Yambol - 31.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 401,109.

The active cases are 52,509.

Of the total, 7,480 patients are in hospitals, 714 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 3,375 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 332,418;

· 16,749 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 750,899;

· 81 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 16,182.
