Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,864 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,864 from 8,845 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 16.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,228,283.

The active cases are 19,973.

Of the total, 1,014 patients are in hospitals, 60 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 1,612 recoveries;
• 1.228 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;
• 13 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 66,31% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 92,31% had not been vaccinated.

There were 251 new hospitalisations, of which 78,09% had not been vaccinated.
