Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,892 new cases, positivity rate is at 7.5%

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,892 from 25,189 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on September 18.

The daily percentage of positive tests is at 7.5%.

The latest cases registered in the districts are as follows:

Blagoevgrad – 100; Bourgas - 107; Varna - 130; Veliko Turnovo – 72; Vidin – 37; Vratsa – 42; Gabrovo – 42; Dobrich – 40; Kardzhali - 24; Kyustendil - 34; Lovech - 32; Montana - 44; Pazardzhik - 69; Pernik - 28; Pleven – 46; Plovdiv - 162; Razgrad - 41; Rousse - 63; Silistra – 29; Sliven - 74; Smolyan – 20; Sofia district - 79; Sofia city – 296; Stara Zagora - 100; Targovishte - 44; Haskovo - 58; Shoumen – 39; Yambol - 40.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 480,777.

The active cases are 38,980.

Of the total, 4,649 patients are in hospitals, 395 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 2,432 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 421,842

· 10,450 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 2,458,928

· 79 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 19,955.
