Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,004 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,004 from 28,810 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on December 15.

Test positivity rate is approximately 7%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 718,651

The active cases are 95,813.

Of the total, 4,961 patients are in hospitals, 587 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 1,950 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 593,074

· 17,185 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 3,523,523.

· 76 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 29,764.

Of the daily cases, 81.19% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 88.16% had not been vaccinated.

There were 453 new hospitalisations, of which 83.66% had not been vaccinated.

*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
