Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,095 new cases; 150 deaths
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,095 from 5,298 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on December 15.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 110; Bourgas - 110; Varna – 156; Veliko Turnovo - 98; Vidin – 8; Vratsa - 75; Gabrovo – 9; Dobrich - 33; Kardzhali - 26; Kyustendil - 32; Lovech - 21; Montana - 17; Pazardzhik - 62; Pernik - 30; Pleven - 76; Plovdiv - 273; Razgrad - 33; Rousse - 137; Silistra - 60; Sliven - 61; Smolyan – 21; Sofia district - 40; Sofia city – 312; Stara Zagora - 152; Targovishte - 12; Haskovo - 73; Shoumen - 57; Yambol - 1.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 181,544.
The active cases are 90,128.
Of the total, 7,045 patients are in hospitals, 580 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 1,858 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 85,578;
- 66 medical professionals infected, bringing the total to date to 7,919;
- 150 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 5,838.
