Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,198 new cases
The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,198 from 12,167 tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on March 5.
1,058 were confirmed from PCR and 1,140 from antigen tests.
The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:
Blagoevgrad - 112; Bourgas - 54; Varna – 142; Veliko Turnovo – 56; Vidin – 4; Vratsa - 65; Gabrovo – 28; Dobrich - 30; Kardzhali - 15; Kyustendil - 85; Lovech - 33; Montana - 30; Pazardzhik - 51; Pernik - 23; Pleven – 115; Plovdiv - 183; Razgrad - 15; Rousse - 56; Silistra - 48; Sliven - 48; Smolyan – 28; Sofia district - 60; Sofia city – 607; Stara Zagora - 98; Targovishte – 5; Haskovo - 47; Shoumen - 119; Yambol - 41.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 255,381.
The active cases are 34,237.
Of the total, 5,307 patients are in hospitals, 440 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
- 1,638 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 210,638;
- 20,376 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccine, bringing the total to date to 268,544;
- 93 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 10,506.
