Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,279 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,279 from 5,729 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on November 22.

The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:

Blagoevgrad - 66; Bourgas - 179; Varna - 200; Veliko Turnovo - 52; Vidin – 34; Vratsa - 43; Gabrovo - 73; Dobrich - 154; Kardzhali - 5; Kyustendil - 96; Lovech - 52; Montana - 81; Pazardzhik - 77; Pernik - 34; Pleven - 109; Plovdiv - 151; Razgrad - 20; Rousse - 39; Silistra - 21; Sliven - 32; Smolyan - 15; Sofia district - 86; Sofia city – 432; Stara Zagora - 47; Targovishte - 8; Haskovo - 45; Shoumen - 35; Yambol - 93.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 120,697.

The active cases are 82,125.

Of the total, 6,193 patients are in hospitals, 408 of them being in intensive care.

The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 1,364. The total recoveries are 35,752.

42 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 2,820.
