Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,462 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,462 from 35,004 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on December 7.

Test positivity rate is approximately 7%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 705,586

The active cases are 99,483.

Of the total, 5,780 patients are in hospitals, 624 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 3, 546 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 577,043

· 11,866 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 3,412,632.

· 208 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 29,060.

Of the daily cases, 81.20% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 93.75% had not been vaccinated.

There were 740 new hospitalisations, of which 85.95% had not been vaccinated.

*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
