Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 269 new cases, record 388 recoveries in a day

Two hundred and sixty nine (269) new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours from 5913 PCR tests, data on the national information system shows on July 24.

The latest cases were reported in the following districts in the country: Blagoevgrad – 34; Bourgas – 6: Varna – 31; Veliko Turnovo – 9; Vidin – 1; Gabrovo – 8; Dobrich – 27; Kardzhali – 5; Kyustendil – 7; Montana – 2; Pazardzhik – 5; Pernik – 2; Plovdiv – 27; Rousse – 9; Sliven – 2; Smolyan – 7; Sofia district – 10; Sofia city – 53; Stara Zagora – 9; Haskovo – 4; Yambol - 11.

The total-lab-confirmed cases in the country to date are at 9853.

The active cases are 4493.

388 people recovered over the past 24 hours. The total recoveries since the start of the epidemic are 5031.

Out of the total, 665 people are in hospitals, 27 of them in intensive care.

The medical professionals who tested positive for coronavirus are 593. The latest cases reported over the past 24 hours are 8, including 5 doctors, 2 nurses, 1 health care assistant..

The deaths of patients with positive results for Covid-19 are 329.

Eight Covid-19 associated deaths were reported over the past 24 hours.
