Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 274 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 274 from 2,447 tests (including PCR and rapid antigen tests), data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on January 2.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 202,540.

The active cases are 74,593.

Of the total, 4,747 patients are in hospitals, 462 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 816 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 120,343;
• 0 were vaccinated, thus the total to date remains 4,739;
• 28 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 7,604,
