Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,760 new cases; 36 deaths

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,760 from 9,946 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 29.

This means 27.7% of the tested were positive for the virus.

The latest cases were registered in the districts as follows:

Blagoevgrad - 160; Bourgas - 87; Varna - 146; Veliko Turnovo - 33; Vidin – 18; Vratsa - 46; Gabrovo - 61; Dobrich - 15; Kardzhali - 37; Kyustendil - 43; Lovech - 31; Montana - 18; Pazardzhik - 36; Pernik - 66; Pleven - 55; Plovdiv - 206; Razgrad - 26; Rousse - 131; Silistra - 24; Sliven - 47; Smolyan - 25; Sofia district - 58; Sofia city - 1075; Stara Zagora - 100; Targovishte - 54; Haskovo - 33; Shoumen - 100; Yambol - 29.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 45,461.

The active cases are 25,105.

Of the total, 2,316 patients are in hospitals, 162 of them being in intensive care.

The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 216. The total recoveries are 19,159.

36 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 1,197.
